What they need

About the role

The Radiographer delivers high-quality medical imaging services as a member of the multidisciplinary Medical Imaging team at The Prince Charles Hospital. The role supports a broad range of clinical services and may also provide imaging services across Bribie Island, Kallangur and Caboolture Satellite Hospitals, contributing to safe, effective and patient-centred diagnostic care.

The successful candidate will perform approved imaging examinations, apply independent clinical judgement, and deliver professional, timely and compassionate care to patients. The role also supports after-hours imaging services, participates in quality improvement initiatives, assists with student supervision and training, and contributes to the ongoing development of medical imaging practices and protocols.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services in accordance with professional standards, legislation and departmental protocols.
  • Perform routine and increasingly complex imaging examinations using sound clinical judgement and technical expertise.
  • Provide patient-focused care that promotes safety, dignity and positive healthcare experiences.
  • Support the education, supervision and assessment of students and less experienced radiographers.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, service improvement initiatives and the development of imaging procedures and protocols.

  • Benefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packaging
