Radiologic Technologist

About the role

The Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT) conducts standard radiographic examinations performed in the assigned sections of the Radiology Department.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares the automatic injector with the proper contrast for the procedure, adjusting all setting parameters according to the procedure and radiologist preference, and performs contrast administration in a safe manner
• Performs all diagnostic examinations anddouble-checkss the identification of the patient against the request provided
• Explains the prescribed procedure to the patient (including what will be done and what is expected of them) before securing the consent of the patient
• Performs radiologic exams such as X-ray and fluoroscopy and can perform more complex procedures such as CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine
• Reports technical problems to the Chief Radiologic Technologist and records incidents in the preventive maintenance logbook, ok, stating the date of the breakdown, the nature, and the intervention done
• Positions and transfers patients comfortably
• Accounts for and endorses all accessories, films, and other supplies used in the area to the incoming staff on duty
• Technologists are responsible for protecting themselves, patients, and co-workers from unnecessary radiation. on
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to government guidelines and regulations
• Complies with the center's personnel policies on attendance, leave, mandatory meetings, etc.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology

• Registered Radiologic Technologist

• Two (2) years of clinical or medical work experience in all diagnostic procedures performed in the Radiology Department

• Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication System

• Knowledge of operating a digital X-ray Machine

• Knowledge of operating CT scan/MRI Machine

• Knowledge of operating an ultrasound machine

• Knowledge to operate Mammography

• Knowledge of operating the Digital Printer, CR/DVT viewer, and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
