  • Prepare patients by providing clear instructions, ensuring proper positioning, and monitoring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to established protocols and radiologist requirements.
  • Ensure optimal image quality while actively minimizing repeat exposures and patient radiation dose.

Image Processing & Transmission

  • Review radiographic images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic acceptability.
  • Properly label, organize, and secure digital image files.
  • Upload and transmit images to designated radiologists for interpretation within prescribed turnaround times, monitoring pending interpretations to coordinate follow-ups.
  • Ensure radiology reports are accurately linked to patient records and forwarded to the appropriate departments.

Equipment Custodianship & Field Logistics

  • Serve as the primary custodian of portable X-ray machines, digital detectors, workstations, and related accessories.
  • Ensure the safe handling, packaging, transportation, setup, and storage of radiologic equipment, conducting rigorous pre- and post-deployment inspections.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration, and immediately report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or loss.
  • Participate in the deployment, setup, and dismantling of radiology stations during health caravans, assisting in planning power, space, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with onsite team leaders to ensure efficient patient flow and examination scheduling.

Radiation Safety & Compliance

  • Implement rigorous radiation protection measures for patients, staff, and the public, including the proper use of lead aprons, shields, and barriers.
  • Maintain strict compliance with DOH, FDA, and other applicable regulations governing radiologic services.
  • Maintain accurate records of examinations performed, images transmitted, equipment usage, and operational incidents.
  • Prepare reports related to radiology operations, equipment utilization, and ensure completeness of documentation for quality assurance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Licensure: Licensed Radiologic Technologist (PRC Registered) in good standing, with all valid certifications required by applicable regulations.
  • Experience: Proven experience in diagnostic radiology; specific experience with portable or field-based imaging services is highly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of radiation protection principles and radiologic quality assurance. Solid familiarity with digital radiography systems, PACS, image transfer platforms, and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Field Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively and participate in dynamic field deployments. Capable of safely handling, packing, and setting up portable radiologic equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and effectively in remote, fast-paced environments.
