Radiologic Technologist/MOA - $15k SOB

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Explaining the procedure during the X Ray/CT scan to patients
• Responsible for floating to OR cases
• Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
• Administering contrast IV dyes to enhance imaging
• Examining images to ensure they are usable
• Updating patient medical record
• Cleaning and maintaining X Ray/CT scan equipment
• Keeping inventory of X Ray/CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
• Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned including checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam rooms; assisting patients as needed with walking transfers, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.; collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; charting; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls, and providing pertinent information.
• Complete clerical responsibilities as assigned that may include sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/X-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments; verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics; managing and updating charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in a radiologic technology program
• CT Certified or Cross Trained in CT Required
• Current ARRT certification
• BLS Certification
• A valid New York State CT license
• Ability to work independently
