About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Radiologist to join our medical imaging team at Dr Farid Medical Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our clinic's diagnostic capabilities and patient care delivery. As a Radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting medical imaging studies, providing accurate diagnoses, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art imaging equipment and contribute to the health and wellbeing of our diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and analyse medical imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, and other radiological investigations
• Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports to referring clinicians and healthcare providers
• Perform fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures as required
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and minimise patient exposure to radiation
• Collaborate with clinical staff and other medical professionals to discuss imaging findings and clinical implications
• Maintain comprehensive and organised patient records and imaging documentation
• Stay current with developments in radiological technology and best practice guidelines
• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the imaging department
• Mentor and support junior radiologists and imaging technicians where applicable
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council
• Postgraduate qualification or specialisation in Radiology from a recognised institution
• Full registration and valid licence to practise as a Radiologist in Malaysia
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a qualified Radiologist, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic imaging centre
• Competency in interpreting a wide range of radiological imaging modalities and investigations
• Sound knowledge of radiation safety principles, dose optimisation, and radiation protection standards
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to provide accurate clinical interpretations under time-sensitive conditions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in using radiology information systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
• Professional commitment to continuing medical education and staying abreast of advances in radiological practice
• High ethical standards and a patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery
