Radiology Technologist [CT/X-Ray] (Full-Time)

Offering $4K Sign-on-Bonus SUMMARY: Performs radiologic procedures (CT and X-ray) using ionizing radiation through computerized (CR or DR) processing while providing quality patient care and technical skills for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• EDUCATION: Required: High school diploma or equivalent plus graduation from an approved education program in radiologic technology.

• EXPERIENCE: Preferred: 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist

• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Required: All of the following:

• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

• Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist license -Texas Department of State Health Services

• Current BLS (CPR) training.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs.
• Ability to stand for long periods, occasional overhead and low reaching.
• Ability to exert force of up to 50lbs. occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently and / or up to 10 lbs. constantly.

OCCUPATIONALEXPOSURE: Patient care environment with Category 1 exposure to blood borne pathogens, radiation, and /or high energy magnetic fields.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs both routine and difficult CT and X-rays.
• Processes images and patient information through RIS and PACS , or other hard copy parameters.
• Receives and explains procedures to patients.
• Positions patients and selects and sets technical factors for DR and CR processing.
• Assures sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters or other equipment is readily available and the radiologic room is set up properly.
• Prepares and administers contrast material (oral, IV, or by enema) as directed by a radiologist.
