Position Summary

The Rad/CT Technologist performs diagnostic radiology and computed tomography (CT) examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with established radiology standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Current Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license required.

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.

• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification preferred.

• Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or healthcare-related environment preferred.

• Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills.

• Ability to work independently while adhering to department policies and procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.

• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and computed tomography (CT) examinations as ordered by physicians.

• Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images while following established imaging protocols.

• Position and prepare patients for procedures while ensuring safety and comfort.

• Operate radiology and CT equipment safely and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

• Follow radiation safety, infection control, and departmental quality standards.

• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members.

• Observe professional ethics and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient, family, medical, financial, and employment information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Riverside Medical Center policies.

• Assist in maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance concerns as needed.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
