What they need

Purpose of the role

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the effective coordination, scheduling and administration of all Radon testing, detector placement, detector collection and mitigation activities, maintain an accurate engineer diary that supports productive workloads, realistic travel and appointment times, and delivery within agreed customer timescales.

The role supports the successful delivery of projects by ensuring works are efficiently planned, route optimised, scheduled and completed. A key responsibility is to maintain clear and proactive communication with customers, residents and field operatives, whilst ensuring all associated administration, project records, data and reporting information remain accurate, complete and up to date.

Expectations of the employee

You will work in a fast-paced and varied environment where effective prioritisation, organisation and attention to detail are essential. You will act as a professional, approachable and customer-focused point of contact for residents, customers, field operatives and colleagues, delivering a high standard of service at all times.

You will manage a range of enquiries and operational activities each day, taking ownership of tasks and helping to ensure works are scheduled, coordinated and completed efficiently. Strong communication, data management and problem-solving skills are required to support project delivery and respond effectively to changing priorities.

As part of a collaborative team, you will contribute positively to team objectives, share information openly and support colleagues where required. You will develop a strong understanding of field service operations within domestic properties and the coordination of customers, residents, field operatives, warehouse personnel and other stakeholders.

You should be confident using Excel and other business systems to maintain, validate and report project information. Experience of route planning, scheduling or field service management systems is advantageous, although individuals who demonstrate strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly will also be considered.

You will take ownership of outstanding actions, follow up without repeated prompting and maintain clear records of progress, next steps and completion. Where an issue falls outside your authority, you will escalate promptly and track the agreed action through to resolution

Previous knowledge of Radon mitigation or ventilation systems is not essential. However, you will be expected to develop a general understanding of these areas and demonstrate a willingness to build the technical knowledge required to perform the role effectively.
