Rail Infrastructure - E&M, Systems & Trackwork

The Opportunity:

• We are looking for motivated and resourceful engineering professionals to join our client, which oversees a diverse portfolio of complex railway infrastructure projects and manages the electrical, mechanical and railway systems that support Singapore's land transport network.
• In this role, you will contribute to the development of new MRT lines and the enhancement of existing rail infrastructure.

The Job:

• Project Management: Manage and coordinate the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of railway infrastructure and systems, ensuring that project deliverables meet the required safety, quality, schedule and environmental standards.
• Engineering & Systems Coordination: Oversee works involving electrical and mechanical services, rail communications, trackwork, signalling and platform screen door systems for new and existing MRT lines.
• Contract Administration: Assist in the planning and management of project risks, budgets and cash flows, including the issuance of engineering instructions and assessment of variations, payments and claims.
• Site Supervision & Quality Assurance: Monitor contractors' work progress, supervise site activities and ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety requirements and local work practices.
• Design Review & Technical Coordination: Review engineering designs, coordinate equipment delivery and installation, and participate in testing and commissioning activities, including overseas and on-site testing where required.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise and coordinate with contractors, designers, architects, other project teams, relevant agencies and appointed railway operators to ensure effective project integration and resolution of interface issues.
• Risk & Interface Management: Identify and manage project risks and coordinate interfaces across civil, trackwork, electrical, mechanical and railway systems to ensure smooth project execution.

The Talent:

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure, railway or construction projects is preferred.
• Good understanding of engineering principles and the interface requirements between civil, trackwork, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong project management, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and delivering results.
• Resourceful, proactive and able to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to perform occasional night works, including weekends and public holidays, where required.
• Familiarity with railway systems, signalling technologies, communications networks or underground MRT infrastructure will be an advantage.
