What they need

About Us:

RATP Dev is a subsidiary of the RATP Group, a global leader in high-capacity urban rail and the world’s third largest public transport operator. Our 25,000 people design, operate, maintain and modernise urban and interurban transport networks across more than 100 cities in 17 countries, delivering tailored mobility solutions that respond to each community’s environmental, social, and economic needs. We build, deliver and commit to the best of public transport - every day, everywhere, for everybody - making it the natural choice for cities and passengers.

RATP Dev, John Holland, Alstom, WSP and KBR, have been selected to deliver the Linewide scope of works for Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East. SRL East is the first stage of the Suburban Rail Loop, comprising of a fully tunnelled 26-kilometre metro corridor between Cheltenham to the south of Melbourne and Box Hill to the north. Within this alliance, RATP Dev has partnered with John Holland in a dedicated Joint Venture called TransitLinX. Our joint venture will focus entirely on the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) component of this project.

About the Role:

The Project Coordinator is a key member of the TransitLinX team, responsible for the day-to-day administration, communications, and coordination of our critical Rail Safety Management System (RSMS) and Engineering Management System Framework (EMSF).

Reporting to the Compliance and Continuous Improvement Manager, you will play a vital role in driving efficiency and effectiveness in our processes and procedures. You will be at the heart of our compliance and continuous improvement strategy, ensuring that all activities are meticulously tracked, documented, and communicated across the team. As the project moves through its lifecycle, this role will offer the opportunity to evolve and grow your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • System Coordination: Administer the day-to-day implementation, monitoring, and review of the RSMS and EMSF processes, plans, and documentation.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all TLX registers and tracking activities are kept up-to-date, and that evidence of compliance is accurately recorded.
  • Team Communication: Coordinate and communicate regularly with the wider TLX team to ensure adherence to the RSMS and EMSF.
  • Document Control: Work closely with the Document Controller to ensure the team follows correct document control, record-keeping, and evidence management processes.
  • Information Management: Champion 'best practice' information management across the TLX SharePoint environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide direct support to the Compliance and Continuous Improvement Manager to implement improvements and efficiencies in TLX’s processes and procedures.

About You:

You are a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator with a keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit. You have a solid understanding of project environments, particularly within the rail sector, and are skilled at communicating with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure compliance and drive best practices. You will bring:

  • Proven experience (2-4 years) in a project coordination and/or communications role, ideally within an Australian railway project.
  • An ability to research and apply knowledge from Federal and Victorian regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications in transport operations, a related engineering discipline, project management, or communications.

At RATP Dev, we believe great public transport is delivered by diverse people with diverse perspectives. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds - including women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people living with disability, veterans, and the LGBTQIA+ community. We hire based on capability, potential, and values, and we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
