Railing Installer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Railing Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of railing systems, ensuring they meet safety standards, blueprint specifications, and customer expectations. Your expertise will contribute to creating safe, attractive, and durable railings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your skills in building material installation and technical interpretation to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

Duties

• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install railing systems according to specifications.
• Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures and other tools to ensure proper fit and alignment of railings.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and securing materials such as metal, wood, or composite products.
• Install various types of railings including metal, glass, wood, or composite materials on stairs, balconies, decks, and walkways.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights with ladders or scaffolding; ensure all work complies with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate installation schedules and address any on-site challenges promptly.
• Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to verify adherence to blueprint specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on railing installation or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and ability to interpret construction plans accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and ladders safely while maintaining efficiency.
• Familiarity with building materials including metal, wood, tile masonry products, drywall, plastering compounds, stucco, gutters, fixtures, cabinets, and flooring installations.
• Experience with construction estimating and inspection processes is a plus.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow blueprint specifications precisely for accurate installation.
• Knowledge of safety practices related to working at heights and on construction sites; certification in ladder use preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients alike.
