Job Description: Experienced Railing Installer – Edmonton

Artistic Stairs Ltd. designs, manufactures, and installs premium circular and straight stair systems, along with decorative wood and metal railings. We are recognized for our craftsmanship and customer service throughout Western Canada. Our Edmonton team is growing, and we are looking for experienced railing installers who take pride in quality workmanship.

Position Overview

We are hiring full-time installers with proven, hands-on experience installing railing systems. Applicants must be able to independently measure, lay out, cut, assemble, and install railings to a professional standard.

This position requires previous railing installation experience. General carpentry or construction experience alone is not sufficient. We provide orientation to our products, procedures, and quality standards, with the expectation that you already have the core skills needed to complete railing installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret 2D and 3D railing layout drawings
• Confirm site measurements and plan installation layouts
• Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and metal railing systems
• Complete installations independently, with attention to fit, finish, and applicable safety requirements
• Identify site conditions or drawing discrepancies and communicate concerns before proceeding
• Work with installation and production teams to meet project schedules
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Safely operate and maintain company-supplied vehicles and tools
• Provide professional and respectful on-site customer service

Qualifications

• Proven experience independently installing railing systems is required
• Demonstrated ability to complete wood and metal railing installations from layout through final finishing
• Strong measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing skills
• Proficiency with woodworking tools and installation equipment
• Ability to read drawings and resolve routine installation challenges
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to safely lift and handle installation materials
• Strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and communication skills

• Compensation is primarily piece-rate, allowing earnings to scale with performance. For work outside piece-rate tasks, an hourly rate is provided based on experience and skill level
