Railway Electrification Engineer (PSY, OCS)

Job Description (Responsibilities)

1. Engineering & Design

    - Perform engineering design for AC/DC Traction Power Supply System (25 kV / 750 V / 1,500 V), OCS / Conductor Rail System

    - Prepare and review Single Line Diagram (SLD), Layout drawings (Substation, OCS, Cable routing), Earthing & bonding design ( EN 50122)

    - Conduct engineering studies Load flow / Short circuit / Voltage drop, Power quality analysis, Earthing & EMC study

2. Project Execution

    - Support project implementation Installation supervision (OCS / PSY), Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

    - Coordinate with Contractor / Supplier / Client (BTS, BEM, SRT, EPC)

    - Ensure compliance with IEC / EN railway standards, Project specifications

3. Technical Coordination

   - Interface with Signalling system, Rolling stock, SCADA / EMS system, Support technical meetings, RFIs, and design clarification

4. Documentation & Quality

   - Prepare Technical proposal / method statement, Inspection Test Plan (ITP), As-built documents, Support ISO 9001 process and project QA/QC

5. Innovation & Digital (Optional – High Value)

   - Support development of Digital Railway / Smart Asset (OCS monitoring, PSY analytics), Integration with EMS / BESS platform

Qualifications

Education

   - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering

Experience

   - 3–10 years experience in Railway electrification / Power system / Infrastructure projects

   - Experience in one or more OCS / Conductor Rail, Traction Substation / MV / HV system, Rail project (BTS, MRT, SRT, LRT)

Technical Skills

   - Strong knowledge in Power system design & analysis, Electrical protection & relay, Earthing & bonding (EN 50122)

  - Familiar with standards IEC / EN (EN 50122, EN 50388, EN 50126/28/29)

  - Software ETAP / DIgSILENT / AutoCAD (mandatory), BIM / Revit (optional but advantage)

  - Good communication (Thai & English)

  - Ability to work in fast-paced project environment

  - Team player with ownership mindset
