RAN Optimization Engineer/RAN Network Optimization Engineer

We are waiting for you to join the team if:

• You have a higher technical (telecommunication/electrical engineering) degree (BSc or MSc).
• You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of mobile network optimization (4G and 5G NSA/5G SA technologies).
• Not only do you use, but you also understand the network: you know in depth the RAN architecture, the radio interface protocols and the underlying signaling systems.
• You are at home in the world of numbers and metrics: you analyze radio KPIs with responsibility and deep professional insight, quickly see and diagnose complex relationships such as capacity and coverage issues.
• You have the desire for continuous improvement: you are open to new technological trends and you strive to stay up to date in the rapidly changing IT and Telekom world.
• You are an excellent team player and a good communicator: you can easily communicate with other areas (planning, operation, core network, complaint management), you proactively support joint work and, as a senior professional, you are happy to share your knowledge with others.

It is an advantage if:

• You have experience using geolocation-based optimization systems, measurement data analysis and CEM software.
• You have experience evaluating drive tests and crowdsource measurements.
• Your advanced quality approach is coupled with a data analysis routine (e.g. Knowledge of MS Excel, SQL, Python tools).
• You have experience in the field of digitalization and you are motivated to replace manual optimization tasks with **automated, smart (**even AI-based) solutions.
• You are excellent at communicating in English both orally and in writing (to support international manufacturer and intra-DT consultations).
• You move at home in a complex technical environment.

What would be your task?

• Automation and digitization: Replacing manual debugging, KPI checking and testing processes with smart, automated solutions and scripts.
• Data-Driven Network Optimization: Develop proactive parameter modifications and network development proposals based on data extracted from network statistics and measurements to maximize the quality, capacity and reliability of the mobile network.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely within the team and with peer departments to ensure that network performance is consistently at the highest level.
• Professional guidance and support: Participation in testing of new radio functions, software and hardware versions (trial projects), as well as professional mentoring of junior colleagues.
