Ranch Hand/Horse Handler

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture and animal care, with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to the daily operations of the ranch. This role is essential in maintaining the health and well-being of our livestock, maintaining the ranch, and ensuring the overall functionality of ranch.

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools for various tasks around the ranch.
• Horse handling for various vet procedures and general palpations.
• Operating various pieces of equipment.
• Perform basic welding tasks as needed for equipment repairs or maintenance.
• Utilize basic math skills for measuring feed, calculating feed ratios, and managing supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all ranch operations run smoothly.

Requirements

• Experience or knowledge in animal care and general equine practices, such as haltering, leading and handling.
• Familiarity with equine management is a plus.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic math skills for performing calculations related to ranch operations.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.

Pay: From $120.00 per day
