Ranch Manager – Hunting & Wildlife Ranch

One Shot Ranch | Childress, TX

One Shot Ranch is seeking a dependable, experienced Ranch Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our hunting ranch in Childress, Texas. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs attention and follows through.

Our ranch is home to whitetail deer and exotic game and welcomes guests for guided hunting experiences.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily ranch work and supervise ranch hands.
• Oversee feeding, watering and routine animal care.
• Monitor animals and promptly communicate health concerns to the owner.
• Coordinate and perform fence, pasture, grounds and facility maintenance.
• Operate ranch equipment safely and oversee routine upkeep.
• Assist with hunt preparation, guest needs and seasonal ranch activities.
• Monitor supplies and communicate maintenance needs and operational issues to the owner.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous ranch operations and animal-care experience.
• Ability to lead a crew while working alongside them.
• Experience operating and maintaining ranch equipment.
• Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks reliably.
• Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience with deer, exotic game or hunting operations is preferred.
