R& D Head Chef

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and innovate new bakery, pastry, restaurant, dessert, and café menu items
• Improve existing recipes and products to enhance quality, consistency, and cost efficiency
• Conduct product testing, tasting sessions, and recipe standardization
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
• Source and evaluate ingredients, products, and suppliers
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams for product launches
• Create detailed recipe specifications, costing, and production procedures
• Monitor industry trends and consumer preferences to drive innovation
• Support training and implementation of new products across stores

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Food Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Research & Development, Product Development, or Executive/Pastry Chef roles within a bakery, café, restaurant, or food manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and café menu development
• Experience in recipe costing, food safety standards, and product commercialization
• Creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized
• Strong communication and project management skills
