R&D Assistant Engineer (1-Year Contract)

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on R&D Assistant Engineer to support our research and development team in creating innovative solutions and turning concepts into functional products

What you'll do:

• Assist in the assembly of prototypes, devices, and machines using technical schematics or instructions.
• Provide support to engineers through simple tasks such as soldering work and other hands-on technical work.
• Conduct simple performance tests or troubleshooting to ensure that the equipment's are functional.
• Perform basic inspections of spare parts/equipment's to ensure the desired standards are met.
• Ensure that the lab equipment's or tools are properly handled and well maintained by assisting in the cleaning and organizing process.
• Assist in the documentation of R&D project-related activities, including test results, procedures, and technical findings
• Assist in the procurement of materials, components, and equipment required for R&D projects while ensuring cost efficiency
• Any ad-hoc activities as assigned by supervisor.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum qualification of Nitec in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any related fields discipline.

• An individual who possesses strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn mindset.

• Proficient command of English.

• Basic technical background with previous hands-on experience in soldering, assembling, or similar tasks.

• Ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to communicate in basic Mandarin Chinese will be an added advantage in order to liaise with associates.
