R&D Asst Engineer (Hard disk/Pioneer/AWS+VB)

Company transport provided to/from: Pioneer, Boon Lay, Lakeside, Jurong East, Clementi, CCK, Yew Tee, Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Marsiling, Woodlands, Sembawang, Yishun, Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang, Pasir Ris and Tampines

Responsibilities :

• Media testing & evaluation

  • Conduct validation and evaluation of hard-disk media and related components.
  • Check whether the media meets design and reliability requirements.

• Surface analysis

  • Perform measurements and analysis on the media surface.
  • Support engineers in developing and improving testing/analysis methods.

• Failure analysis

  • Investigate media defects or failures.
  • Compile test results and failure-analysis findings for engineers to review.

• Engineering support

  • Work closely with engineers to interpret surface-analysis results.
  • Provide input for process and product improvement activities.

• Laboratory equipment

  • Operate and maintain specialised surface-analysis equipment.
  • Report equipment problems to engineers or equipment vendors for repair.

• Documentation & quality

  • Record and compile evaluation results accurately.
  • Follow ISO quality and safety requirements for laboratory operations.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or related Engineering/Science disciplines.
• Candidates without experience but with relevant studies are welcome to apply. Training will be provided.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn and perform hands-on laboratory/testing work.
• Able to work well with engineers and follow safety/quality procedures
