R&D Chemist - Coatings

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated R&D Chemist to join our coatings R&D team, focusing on waterborne anticorrosive coating development and application support. In this role, you will drive formulation innovation from lab to production while working closely with commercial teams to win and retain business.

What do we look for?

• Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry or a related discipline; experience in waterborne coatings or resin synthesis is a plus;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Strong teamwork and results orientation, with a proactive attitude and the willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

What will you do?

• Independently lead the formulation development of new waterborne anticorrosive coatings, including lab-scale trials, scale-up, and process optimization;
• Collaborate with Product Application Managers to resolve product issues and conduct on-site trials for new products based on customer requirements, helping to retain and grow our business;
• Evaluate new and alternative raw materials for their suitability in order to improve product performance and reduce cost;
• Provide technical support to customers as needed, including on-site technical service, non-routine analysis, and product improvement.
