Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Product Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Custom Furniture Manufacturing.
• Strong background in R&D / Product Development / Design (PDE).
• Experienced in creating new furniture designs, with a keen eye for industry trends, especially in sofa design.
• Solid understanding of materials (wood, metal, etc.), production processes, manufacturing flow, and costing structures (BOM/BOQ).
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams (25–30 people).

Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor the company’s R&D team
2. Direct new product design initiatives and bridge product innovation with manufacturing execution
3. Develop detailed specifications and stay updated on the latest design, materials, and industry developments
4. Establish design standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality products
5. Review engineering drawings and construction-ready documents
6. Create short-term and long-term R&D roadmaps
7. Manage priorities and decision-making on “Buy or Create” strategies aligned with factory capacity
