R&D Coordinator

In high-tech industries like semiconductor manufacturing, HORIBA provides an extensive selection of process monitors for integration into manufacturing lines that aid the safe production of high performance devices.Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for an R&D Coordinator to develop various correspondence, track engineering progress/cost reports, and various other administrative duties to support R&D initiatives at our Reno Technology Center. Key Responsibilities include:

• Help coordinate export control and document classifications.
• Interface with R&D team for budget forecasting.
• Assist in creating, tracking and status of R&D JIRA related tasks.
• Create and maintain R&D KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) in JIRA and Confluence.
• Assist with the coordination of Global R&D meetings and document new materials, procedures and best practices for Global R&D Team.
• Assist Global R&D patent team with invention disclosures, patent tracking and correspondence with US patent attorneys and/or paralegals.
• Help administer and organize Confluence Wiki and Jira instances.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of administrative duties including computer skills (MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Internet.)
• Atlassian and/or web design experience (highly desired). Ability to format documents, presentations, filing. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Minimum of two years’ related experience in a high technology engineering/research environment preferred. Degree in related field preferred (AA, AS, BA, BS).
