R&D Engineer (C++ & Python)

We are seeking an R&D engineer who can support the development, the analysis and the improvement of simulation platforms of magnetic recording developed by C++ and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, understand, and improve a magnetic recording simulation program written in C++.
• Maintain existing codebase, implement new features, optimize performance, and handle defect fixes.
• Analyze and maintain HDD drive control code written in Python.
• Develop test scripts to operate a magnetic head evaluation system.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as required.

Requirements:

**Academic Qualification:**Master’s / MPhil degree holder or above

Field of Study: Applied Physics / Physics / Electrical Engineering / Electronic Engineering/ Computer Engineering / or relevant disciplines

**Years of Experience:**Preferable 1 - 3 years of relevant experience

• Solid hands-on experience in C++ and Python development is a must.
• Experience with simulation software, control software, or software for measurement /evaluation equipment.
• Proven capability in reading, analyzing, refactoring, and optimizing existing source code.
• Hands-on experience developing test scripts or automation tools.
• Strong analytical and logical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Enthusiastic, responsible, highly independent, and cooperative team player.
• Proficiency of written and spoken English and Chinese.
