R&D Engineer (Industrial Lab)

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities to support product innovation, process improvement, and quality enhancement.
• Perform laboratory testing, technical investigations, and experimental studies to evaluate product performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze test results and technical data to identify root causes, solve engineering problems, and recommend effective solutions.
• Develop and improve testing methods, procedures, and analytical techniques to enhance laboratory capabilities and testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering projects, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare technical reports, document findings, and present recommendations to support engineering decisions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure testing accuracy, and comply with established safety and quality standards.
• Support new product development, material evaluation, process validation, and reliability improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• 2 -4 years relevant working/study experiences in R&D, laboratory testing, failure analysis, or electronics manufacturing is an advantage.
• Knowledge of material properties, surface interactions, material evaluation techniques, and laboratory testing methods.
• Familiarity with analytical instruments, experimental studies, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving.
• Experience in laboratory equipment setup and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Knowledge of data analysis, Microsoft Office, and programming tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Python is an advantage.
• Good English communication, analytical, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and result-oriented, with the ability to work independently in laboratory, cleanroom, and manufacturing environments.
