Main Responsibility:-

As a R&D Mechanical Design Engineer, the incumbent will be heavily involved in the design and development of automotive accessories parts for OEM and REM market. He/She shall assess & evaluate new technologies into product design.

Job Description:-

1. Ensure product are designed to meet the performance & objectives by implementing DFX, DFMEA concept.
2. To participate in design review by the Engineering Manager to justify design detail.
3. To prepare and update DFMEA document, design know-how and other document related to design.
4. To confirm the off-tools samples meet the design requirement and intended function.
5. Inter-departmental interaction to ensure design target and schedules are met.
6. Need to do tolerance stacking.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree required. Diplomas will be considered based on experience and field.
2. Have a thorough knowledge of product design, materials, processes and related manufacturing techniques.
3. Able to communicate technical information to project teams and manager as required.
4. Understanding of fundamental physical theories and general engineering principles.
5. Able to multitask without losing focus in a rapidly changing environment.
6. Willing to outstation and working overtime to complete the project.
7. Software skills required : 3D modelling (CATIA preferred) AutoCAD, CAE related software's.
