• You will analyze system and stakeholder requirements and translate them into robust function concepts and technical specifications, considering functional architecture as well as corresponding hardware and software architectures.
• You will methodically evaluate alternative function concepts with respect to performance, time, cost, and implementation effort.
• You will develop function prototypes on both hardware and software level based on defined function concepts.
• You will define, plan, and execute single‑function tests for function concepts.
• You will calibrate appliance functions and derive structured parametrization guidelines for development, testing, and series application.
• You will take continuous end‑to‑end (E2E) responsibility for dedicated function clusters within a platform‑based development approach.

What Makes Us Successful Together

• Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably with a focus on Control Theory and preferably Thermodynamics, Refrigeration Engineering, Heat Transfer Systems.
• Ideally several years of professional experience in development of air‑to‑water heat pump (AWHP) systems (or similar technical solutions).
• Strong experience with refrigerant circuit applications and mechatronic (thermodynamic system, actuators and sensors) system behavior.
• Sound knowledge of development methods and processes, including technical specifications, FMEA, hardware and software prototyping (including simulations) and test and verification planning.
• Experience with relevant development tools, preferably MATLAB / Simulink. with fluent English both in written and spoken.
• Experience in cross‑functional, international development teams.
