R&D Executive

• Design and develop new food and beverage products (e.g., snacks, protein shakes, functional foods) from concept through formulation and bench-top trials
• Improve existing product lines for taste, texture, nutritional value, and shelf-life stability
• Conduct thorough sensory evaluations and product performance testing to ensure product quality
• Ensure all product formulations meet company standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage documentation and audit support for Halal certification
• Ensure strict adherence to ISO 22000 food safety management protocols across all development stages
• Source and evaluate raw materials based on functionality, quality, and cost-efficiency
• Collaborate with the procurement team to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative ingredients without compromising product safety or quality
• Support scale-up trials and production runs at manufacturing sites to ensure successful commercialization
• Maintain detailed R&D documentation, including product specifications, nutritional information, and trial reports
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for new ingredient or product innovation
• Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the superior as needed

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/ Food Technology/ Nutrition, or equivalent.
• At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience in R&D food industry
• Able to work independently, with passion and creativity toward product development
• Able to communicate effectively and possess basic computer skills
• Must have own transportation and be willing to travel when needed
• Working familiarity with Halal & ISO 22000 or similar food safety management systems
