R&D Executive

Job Responsibilities: -

• Manage autonomously assigned R&D development projects, for in-house manufactured products in existing ranges, from ideation until post launch follow-up (advise on brief creation, formulate, and make sample, sensory and physical-chemical analysis, regulatory verifications, ageing tests, organize production trials, CIP validation, creation technical documents, validation of labels, product certifications, etc).

• Understand Monin product policies and ensure that they are well applied.

• Proactively participate in continuous improvement (laboratory organization, new procedures, training, enriched database, etc).

• Understand how to work with countries regulations and build and expertise in terms of compositional standards, additives, and labelling rules for the assigned countries.

• Ensure that the related databases are always up to date.

• Lead/participate autonomously in projects as assigned:

  • Internal / Global R&D projects
  • Internal technical projects
  • Long-term analysis / research projects
  • Compliance projects
  • Raw materials testing

• Perform technical, scientific, regulatory and competition intelligence monitoring.

• Interact and collect necessary information within all departments of Monin Asia and Monin Group.

• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

• Provide assistance regarding customer enquiries and non-conformity management.

• Organize sensory training when needed.

• To perform any other job that may be assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements: -

• Degree in Food Technology, Food Science or related scientific disciplines.
• Possess 3-5 years working experience in similar function, preferable from similar industry.
• Experience in project management, sensory panelist and analyst.
• Analytical, innovative, proactive and organisational skills.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc).
• Knowledge of manufacturing process.
• Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
