Qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry / M.Tech / M.Pharm / Equivalent Science Background with relevant RD experience in iron compounds. Based on the requirement for iron complex development and process development experience.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced RD professional with strong hands-on expertise in the development, process optimization, and scale-up of iron compounds and iron complexes . The ideal candidate should have practical experience working with ferric and ferrous iron chemistry, laboratory development, pilot-scale batches, analytical evaluation, and technology transfer activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize processes for iron compounds and iron-based products.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale development trials.
• Work on reaction optimization, complex formation, precipitation, oxidation/reduction, pH adjustment, and process improvement activities.
• Investigate and resolve process challenges related to yield, stability, consistency, and product quality.
• Analyze and interpret development data to support process decisions.
• Prepare development reports, experimental records, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Support scale-up, validation, and technology transfer activities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams during product development and commercialization.

Required Experience

Hands-on experience working with iron compounds, iron complexes, ferric compounds, ferrous compounds, or iron-based APIs

Experience in:

• Iron Sucrose
• Ferric Carboxymaltose
• Iron Polymaltose
• Iron Hydroxide Complexes
• Iron-Carbohydrate Complexes
• Other Iron-Based Pharmaceutical or Specialty Chemical Products

Strong understanding of:

• Iron chemistry
• Process development
• Process optimization
• Scale-up activities
• Batch troubleshooting
• Analytical evaluation

Experience with laboratory and pilot-scale operations.
