R&D Executive/Specialist

About the role

Isella Sofa Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented R&D Executive/Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving innovation and spearheading the research and development of our bespoke sofa designs. Based in our Semenyih, Selangor office, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of our company and delivering exceptional products to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for new product development
• Developing and designing innovative sofa concepts and prototypes
• Testing and evaluating new materials, fabrics, and manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and performance
• Collaborating with the design and production teams to translate concepts into viable products
• Staying up-to-date with industry developments and incorporating best practices into our R&D processes
• Providing technical support and guidance to the sales and marketing teams

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar R&D or product development role, preferably in the furniture or interior design industry
• Strong technical skills in product design, materials science, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in CAD software and virtual prototyping tools
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and effectively communicate technical information
• Passion for staying ahead of industry trends and a commitment to continuous improvement
