R&D Lead Chef / Development Chef

Location: Dubai — work across both Jumeirah and Al Khawaneej branches

Salary: AED 10,000–12,000 per month

Job type: Full-time

We are looking for a creative, hands-on Development Chef to lead food research and development, create new dishes and concepts, and improve recipe quality and consistency across our branches.

Responsibilities

• Develop new dishes and food concepts aligned with the restaurant identity.

• Lead cooking trials and tastings, evaluate feedback and refine recipes.

• Improve flavor, texture, presentation and practical execution.

• Approve final food quality and communicate clear standards to the kitchen teams.

• Work with the R&D Sous Chef to ensure approved recipes, weights, methods and yields are documented accurately.

• Consider ingredient availability, portion costs and operational practicality when developing dishes.

• Support implementation and consistency across Jumeirah and Al Khawaneej.

Requirements

• Proven professional chef experience with hands-on menu development and recipe testing.

• Strong creative cooking, tasting and food-quality assessment skills.

• Ability to turn concepts into repeatable recipes suitable for restaurant service.

• Good collaboration, organization and communication skills.

• Knowledge of food hygiene, ingredient handling and production consistency.

• Availability to work across both Jumeirah and Al Khawaneej, Dubai.
