What they need
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Engineering / R&D team.
- Lead and support new product development and NPI projects from concept to production launch.
- Manage product design, prototypes/hand samples, testing, validation, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Lead existing product modification and improvement projects.
- Provide technical solutions for product and manufacturing problems through structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
- Analyse mechanical systems, components, assemblies, locks, keys, and related hardware products.
- Work closely with Production and Quality to improve product quality, manufacturability, reliability, and manufacturing processes.
- Lead or support tooling and mould development, including design review, trials, modifications, and technical problem-solving.
- Work with suppliers on component selection, manufacturing requirements, tooling, mould development, and new projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, and Tool Room.
- Provide technical support to customers and Sales on product applications, technical requirements, troubleshooting, and new projects.
- Manage new product projects including scope, suppliers, implementation, commissioning, and validation.
- Maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, technical documentation, and engineering change control.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
- Report project progress, technical issues, risks, and solutions to Management.
