About the role

This role involves managing research and development and formulation of all cosmetic products for the company. You will design and instruct the research and development team, provide consultation and guidance, and develop product development strategies aligned with company direction and market trends.

Key responsibilities

• Manage research and development and formulation of all cosmetic products for the company
• Design and teach the research and development team how to work
• Provide consultation to the research and development team
• Provide guidance to the research and development team
• Plan product development strategy in line with company guidelines and market direction
• Oversee RD Formular, Product Evaluation, and RD Production teams to work efficiently and communicate smoothly with NPD, QA, QC departments and production division
• Review and approve formulas before sending to customers or entering production processes
• Research new technologies, raw materials, and industry trends both domestically and internationally to apply
• Develop team knowledge through training, experimentation, and coaching
• Attend meetings with executives to plan new product strategies and organizational innovation

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in cosmetic science, chemistry, biology, cosmetic production technology, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in research and development of cosmetic products
• Previous team management experience or experience at supervisor level or above
• Understanding of both technical aspects and strategic communication with marketing and customers
• Understanding of GMP standards, ISO, FDA notification procedures, and production processes in the industry
• Developer mindset, not attached to existing formulas, ready to accept new innovations
• Good English communication skills will be considered a special advantage
