About the Role

We are looking for an experienced R&D professional to work on iron-based pharmaceutical products . The role involves process development, optimization, troubleshooting, scale-up, and technology transfer for injectable/API formulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize iron complexes (ferric/ferrous) and related products.
• Conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments for new product development.
• Work on reaction chemistry, complex formation, precipitation, oxidation/reduction .
• Develop processes for iron sucrose, ferric carboxymaltose, iron polymaltose, iron isomaltoside .
• Optimize product quality (molecular weight, particle size, solubility, stability, purity).
• Troubleshoot yield, precipitation, and batch consistency issues.
• Document process parameters, reports, and scale-up protocols.
• Collaborate with QC, QA, Production, and Engineering teams.
• Support pilot trials, validation batches, and technology transfer.

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of iron chemistry and coordination chemistry .
• Hands-on experience in iron complex/API development .
• Understanding of oxidation/reduction chemistry and process parameters.
• Experience in process optimization and scale-up .
• Ability to correlate process parameters with analytical results.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Preferred Background

• Candidates with direct experience in pharmaceutical/API injectable iron products will be highly preferred.
• Exposure to process development, scale-up, and tech transfer in pharma manufacturing.
