R&D – PRODUCT & PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT

ABOUT THE ROLE

Develop high-quality products and packaging solutions that reflect VIBES LAB's brand identity and standards.

Manage the development process from initial concepts and prototyping to documentation, supplier coordination, quality control, and final delivery.

Responsibilities across Product R&D and Packaging R&D will be assigned based on the individual's knowledge, skills, and expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. BOM & Product Documentation

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, raw material or material lists, and essential production guidelines.

• Ensure all documentation is accurate and ready for use by suppliers and relevant teams.

• Keep documentation updated throughout the product lifecycle whenever changes occur.

2. Supplier Management

• Coordinate with suppliers involved in product and packaging development.

• Monitor production schedules and timelines to ensure projects stay on track.

• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, performance, cost, and development capabilities.

3. Quality Control & Assurance (QC/QA)

• Monitor and inspect product quality before, during, and after production.

• Inspect and approve samples or products from each production batch according to established quality standards.

• Collaborate with suppliers and relevant teams to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues.

4. Project Management & Operations

• Manage project timelines from initial concept to final delivery.

• Track key milestones, including sample development, pre-production approval, manufacturing, and delivery.

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Brand teams to ensure smooth project execution.

SPECIALIZED RESPONSIBILITIES

A. R&D PRODUCT

Product Development & Formulation

• Develop fragrance formulations for VIBES LAB PARFUMS that align with the brand's DNA and fragrance direction.

• Improve and modernize existing products while proposing innovative ideas and new product concepts.

• Collaborate with the creative team to transform moodboards and briefs into actual fragrance prototypes.

• Create product mock-ups and samples for sales, marketing, and client presentations.

• Evaluate product quality, including fragrance accuracy, colour, viscosity, and formulation consistency.

B. R&D PACKAGING

Packaging Research & Development

• Research and develop packaging solutions based on creative briefs, product requirements, and brand identity.

• Propose innovative packaging designs and materials that balance functionality, brand image, cost, and production feasibility.

• Develop and evaluate packaging samples, considering design, materials, colours, dimensions, and product compatibility.

• Coordinate with suppliers to develop packaging prototypes and monitor production progress.

• Inspect packaging quality across production batches, including dimensions, colours, printing quality, durability, and overall finish.
