R&D Project Manager

Job Overview

Responsible for defining product development strategy and managing both Existing Product and New Model projects from concept through production launch, ensuring alignment with market and customer needs, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define product development strategy and roadmap in line with business direction and market needs.
• Manage New Product and New Model projects from planning through production launch.
• Drive APQP, ECR, BOM, and Engineering Change processes in accordance with required standards.
• Manage projects to achieve Scope, Time, Cost, and Quality objectives.
• Coordinate with overseas R&D, Marketing, QA, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to ensure successful project execution.
• Analyze and improve products to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and minimize design- or production-related issues.
• Manage resources, budgets, and the R&D team to support the organization's product development portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in R&D, Product Development, or the automotive industry.
• Experience in managing product development projects and engineering teams.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, ECR, BOM, and FMEA.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and product structures.
• Strong skills in project management, strategic thinking, and risk management.
• Strong leadership with the ability to analyze, make decisions, and solve problems effectively.
