R&D Project Manager

About the role

We are hiring an experienced R&D Project Manager to lead the development of ultra-precision motion platforms in Hong Kong. This is a hands-on R&D role — not pure delivery or commercial project management. You will drive technical projects from concept to production, working with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end R&D projects for ultra-precision motion platforms: scope, schedule, resources, risk, and budget.
• Lead cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, control, software, manufacturing) through design, prototyping, testing, and ramp-up.
• Translate product requirements into engineering milestones and validation plans.
• Identify technical risks early and resolve engineering bottlenecks hands-on.
• Report project status and critical issues to senior management.

About you

• Bachelor's or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Control, or related field.
• 5+ years of R&D project management experience, preferably in semiconductor equipment or high-precision capital equipment.
• Not a pure delivery/commercial PM background — must have technical R&D project experience.
• Familiar with precision motion control, mechatronics, servo systems, or ultra-precision manufacturing.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (written and spoken) as you will be required to communicate with stakeholders from different cultural and language background.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
