Overview

Ziamatic Corp. is a private equity-backed manufacture of equipment for fire trucks and emergency vehicles seeking a skilled, hands-on R&D Fabricator to join our team in Yardley, PA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working on new product development, building prototypes, and turning ideas and designs into functional parts and assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, laying out and fabricating sheet metal, and operating manual machine tools. We are looking for someone with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills who can work independently, troubleshoot challenges, and contribute practical ideas to the research and development process.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Lay out, measure, cut, form, and fabricate sheet metal components.
• Machine parts and components to meet design requirements and tolerances.
• Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, and small manual presses.
• Build prototypes and assist with the development and testing of new products.
• Troubleshoot fabrication and machining challenges and recommend solutions.
• Work closely with engineering and other team members to refine designs and improve product functionality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• General manual machining, metalworking, or toolmaking experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal layout, fabrication, and forming.
• Familiarity with setting up and operating manual milling machines and lathes.
• Experience operating small manual presses.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and standard machinist inspection tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Excellent critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• A practical, hands-on approach to developing and building components.

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
