R&D Specialist

We are seeking skilled formulation scientists to join our R&D team for two positions:

1. R&D Specialist – Personal Care (Body Wash, Shampoo, Facial Cleanser, Liquid Soap)
2. R&D Specialist – Household Care (Laundry, Dishwashing, Household Cleaners)

About the role

Formulate, develop, and optimize surfactant-based products to meet target performance, quality, safety, stability, and cost. Handle technical troubleshooting and support formula scale-up from lab to commercial manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize surfactant-based formulations and upgrade existing recipes for better performance, quality, and cost.
• Select and balance surfactant systems and raw materials to match product briefs and target specs.
• Adjust formula attributes, including cleansing power, foaming, viscosity, clarity, mildness, and sensory feel.
• Plan and conduct formula stability studies across test conditions.
• Apply deep understanding of Anionic, Amphoteric, Nonionic, and Cationic surfactants and their matrix interactions.
• Run lab-scale trials and evaluate physical, chemical, performance, and stability properties.
• Diagnose and resolve formula defects and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Support pilot trials and mass production; fix technical gaps between lab prototypes and plant batches.
• Reformulate for cost reduction while maintaining quality, stability, and efficacy.
• Maintain formulation records, test logs, and technical reports.

About you

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or related fields.
• Direct R&D and formulation experience 3-5 years in surfactant-based Personal Care or Household Care products.
• Strong foundation in surfactant chemistry, formulation design, and raw material interactions.
• Hands-on experience in bench formulation, property testing, stability testing, and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, systematic problem-solving, and scientific reporting skills.
• Prior experience with pilot runs, scale-up, or plant troubleshooting is a plus.
• Having in FMCG experience is preferred
