R&D Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Support day-to-day CPG NPD activities, ensuring progress against timeline, quality, cost and compliance targets.

• Co-ordinate and supervise trials, product refinements and launch readiness for CPG innovations.

• Lead consumer testing, track product performances, ensure product stability, safety and other product performance data to recommend practical improvements.

• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including sensory test methods, SOPs, consumer testing reports, product proposals and project updates.

2. EFFICIENCY & QUALITY

• Prevent and reduce material loss across all PLH beverage and CPG production channels, including in-house factory output and third-party manufacturing.

• Monitor and reduce product complaints, with actions aimed at preventing recurrence across retail, B2B and PLH stores.

• Work independently on routine and some non-routine tasks, maintaining accurate records in a timely manner to support continuous improvement and technical decision-making.

3. TEA MASTERY

• Deliver technical materials to support internal product and ingredient knowledge and external communication.

• Standardise recipes with strong BOM accuracy to ensure consistency and traceability.

• Standardise specifications for tea, coffee and related products to improve control and alignment.

4. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL & ONE MASAN

• Support cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met within the assigned scope and aligned with brand, regulatory, safety and consumer expectations.

• Assist in training operational staff in new technologies and procedures resulting from R&D initiatives.

• Participate in One Masan group initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong knowledge of tea CPG products, including raw materials, processing, and quality characteristics.

• Good understanding of Vietnamese food safety, labeling, and relevant regulatory requirements.

• In-depth understanding of consumer-oriented NPD and practical application in commercialization.

2. SKILLS:

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to conduct trials and operate lab or pilot equipment.

• Functional English for daily communication and reporting.

3. EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.

4. EXPERIENCE:

• A minimal of six years in R&D position in Food & Beverages or related sectors.
