Title: Rapid Response Guard

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.91/hr

Site: Halton Region Client Sites (Oakville, Milton, Burlington, Georgetown)

Schedule: Continental Days (0700-1900)

Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement after 88 hours

Site Overview

This dynamic role covers a variety of client sites across Oakville, Milton, Burlington, and Georgetown. You will support diverse environments including healthcare facilities, office towers, retail centres, and industrial sites. Shifts are assigned on short notice, offering a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct regular security patrols across assigned industrial, retail, healthcare, and office environments to maintain safety.
• Monitor access control points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
• Operate security systems, including CCTV cameras and alarm panels, and report suspicious activities right away.
• Respond quickly to emergencies such as medical calls, fire alarms, and security incidents, assisting with evacuations when needed.
• De-escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Assist visitors, staff, and clients in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Complete accurate logs, incident reports, and site documentation in a timely manner.
• Travel between assigned client locations across the region as required.

Must Haves

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.
• Own a reliable vehicle for travel between sites.
• Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a two-step TB skin test.
• Clean-shaven to ensure proper fit for an N95 mask fit test.
• Ability to walk and climb stairs for extended periods during shifts.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), or willingness to complete Paladin's training program prior to onboarding.

Nice-to-Haves

• Valid Ontario G-class driver's license.
• Educational background in Police Foundations, Criminology, Protection, Security and Investigation (PSI), or Border Services.
