About the Role

Working across our primary care clinics, you will provide comprehensive and patient-centred healthcare services to a diverse population.

You will:

• Assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions
• Support patients and whānau to improve their health and wellbeing
• Promote preventative healthcare and disease management
• Work collaboratively with nurses, clinicians and community-based services
• Deliver high-quality clinical care that meets professional and regulatory standards
• Contribute to positive health outcomes through education, partnership and continuity of care

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• A current Annual Practising Certificate
• Experience working in general practice or primary healthcare
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• A patient-focused approach to care
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• An understanding of culturally safe practice and health equity
• An appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi within the health sector

Knowledge of Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori is advantageous but not essential. We are looking for a practitioner who is open to learning, values diversity, and is committed to providing respectful and inclusive care to all patients and whānau.
