Raw Material Store Supervisor

About the role
This is a full-time Raw Material Store Supervisor role at Schmaco Auto Parts Industries Sdn Bhd based in Rawang, Selangor. As the Raw Material Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of the raw materials store to support the manufacturing operations of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Study production orders and issue requisition orders for insufficient materials to the Purchasing Department
• Schedule, monitor, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials to the Production Department
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for quantity, quality, and compliance with company standards
• Process, document, and report any damages, discrepancies, or rejected materials
• Perform regular inventory reconciliation to ensure physical stock matches system records
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Production teams on material requirements for internal and external sub-contract processes
• Ensure Bill of Materials (BOM) in the system is updated and accurate
• Organize and maintain proper storage, labelling, and housekeeping of all goods and rejection areas
• Monitor and arrange rework or sorting activities when required
• Track and follow up on all outstanding requisition orders and purchase returns to suppliers
• Record all stock movements accurately in stock cards and system
• Plan, organize, and perform annual physical inventory count and reconciliation
• Measure and report the effectiveness of store operations and initiate continuous improvement activities
• Provide training to staff to ensure competency, awareness, and compliance with quality and safety standards
• Enforce discipline, resolve grievances, and maintain a positive work environment
• Implement and uphold 5S practices and maintain cleanliness of storage areas
• Ensure compliance with company rules, safety standards, and 5S housekeeping practices
• Comply with all company rules and regulations as outlined in the appointment letter and employee handbook
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by superior from time to time

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a store supervisor or in a similar materials management role within the manufacturing, logistics, or distribution industry
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, warehousing best practices, and materials handling equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and purchasing documents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems and MS Office applications
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy of inventory records
• Familiarity with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
