RBT Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist

Job Summary

Seastar ABA is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to a child with autism in the client’s home in Fulshear, Texas.

The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment programs that support the client’s communication, social, behavioral, play, and daily living skills.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 5:30 PM–8:00 PM
• 2 hours per day
• Approximately 10 hours per week
• Consistent, ongoing schedule

Duties

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy in the client’s home.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.
• Follow behavior intervention and safety procedures as written.
• Use appropriate prompting, reinforcement, and error-correction procedures.
• Collect accurate data during each therapy session.
• Complete clear and timely session notes and required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with the supervising BCBA, the client’s family, and other team members.
• Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development.
• Follow the RBT Ethics Code, HIPAA requirements, and Seastar ABA policies.
• Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
• **At least one year of professional experience working as an RBT.**
• High school diploma or GED.
• Availability to work consistently Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Fulshear, TX.
• Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collect data and complete electronic session documentation accurately.
• Ability to pass all required background checks.
• Dependable, patient, professional, and receptive to clinical feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, child development, or a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience providing in-home ABA services.
• Experience addressing communication deficits, skill-acquisition needs, and challenging behavior.

Physical Requirements

The position may require sitting on the floor, standing, walking, running short distances, bending, reaching, and assisting a child during play and daily activities. The employee must be able to respond safely to challenging behavior and perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
