RCC Engineer

Job Summary

The RCC Engineer is responsible for supervising and executing reinforced cement concrete works at construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved structural drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise RCC works for foundations, footings, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and retaining walls.
• Read and interpret structural drawings and reinforcement detailing.
• Check reinforcement steel, bar diameter, spacing, lap length, development length, and concrete cover.
• Prepare and verify Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and reinforcement quantities.
• Inspect shuttering, formwork, and staging before concrete pouring.
• Coordinate concrete pouring, compaction, finishing, and curing activities.
• Monitor concrete quality, slump tests, cube sampling, and compressive strength results.
• Calculate quantities of concrete, reinforcement steel, and shuttering materials.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, consultants, and QA/QC teams.
• Maintain daily progress reports, inspection records, and material consumption reports.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, applicable IS codes, and site safety procedures.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions with the project or structural engineer.

Preferred Experience

Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or high-rise building construction is an advantage.
