Duties

• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies before procedures
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), adhering to safety protocols
• Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Gold and Dentrix
• Provide excellent patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
• Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control standards in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing patient flow

Skills

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or RDA with knowledge of dental procedures and protocols
• Familiarity with dental software systems like Epic and Dentrix for record keeping and appointment management
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
• Ability to assist with orthodontic procedures and handle pediatric patients with patience and care
• Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools is a plus for assisting with orthodontic appliances or digital impressions
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and providers
• Certification as an RDA is required; additional certifications in CPR or infection control are preferred

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour
