Real Estate Development Manager

Duties

• Lead the entire project lifecycle, including site selection, due diligence, entitlement processes, design coordination, and construction management.
• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Manage project budgets effectively by utilizing construction estimating tools and cost management techniques to control expenses without compromising quality.
• Oversee construction plans, blueprints, and technical documents; ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to align project objectives and resolve issues proactively.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and communication.
• Supervise project teams on-site and off-site; manage subcontractors and vendors to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure construction schedule coordination aligns with project timelines; monitor progress regularly to mitigate delays.
• Review contracts and construction plans thoroughly; negotiate terms to protect company interests while fostering collaborative relationships.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to construction regulatory compliance and safety standards throughout all project phases.

Experience

• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure or commercial real estate projects from inception through completion in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive background in construction management including site supervision, schedule coordination, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid or equivalent tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction plans reading (blueprints), contracts administration, and blueprint reading techniques.
• Hands-on experience with civil engineering concepts using Civil 3D or similar civil design software is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with construction regulations governing commercial developments and infrastructure projects across various jurisdictions.
• Excellent time management skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
