Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rebar Worker to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, tying, and securing reinforcement bars (rebar) to strengthen concrete structures. Your expertise will ensure the stability and durability of various construction projects, from foundations to large-scale infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine rebar placement and specifications.
• Cut, bend, shape, and assemble rebar using hand tools, power tools, and rebar fabrication equipment according to project requirements.
• Install rebar cages and reinforcement within formwork prior to concrete pouring, ensuring proper positioning and secure fastening.
• Tie rebar intersections securely with wire ties or mechanical fasteners to maintain structural integrity during concrete placement.
• Assist with concrete pouring, finishing, and related tasks such as concrete cutting and surface smoothing when needed.
• Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, heavy lifting procedures, and equipment operation.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety standards on-site.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to rebar fabrication, cutting, bending, and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications accurately.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including concrete mixers, pumps, or other relevant machinery.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, cutters, hammers, as well as power tools required for rebar work.
• Knowledge of construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
• Capable of heavy lifting safely and efficiently handling materials on active construction sites.
• Experience working on diverse construction projects
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise placement of reinforcement components.
