What they need

Lead Major Rebuild Projects. Drive Customer Success. Build Something Legendary.

With more than 100 years as a Caterpillar Dealer, William Adams has proudly made its mark. Together with Caterpillar, we've been there for customers—selling and servicing the best equipment in the world across construction, mining, agriculture and industry.

We're looking for an experienced Rebuild Specialist to join our Clayton team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong technical background and a passion for project management, customer relationships and continuous improvement.

You'll take ownership of major machine and engine rebuild projects from start to finish, ensuring they're delivered safely, efficiently and profitably while providing an exceptional customer experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Rebuild Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind Caterpillar Certified and Dealer Rebuild programs, working closely with customers, technicians, supervisors and Caterpillar to deliver successful rebuild outcomes.

You'll oversee rebuild planning, monitor project performance, manage costs and schedules, and ensure every project meets our high standards for quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

No two days will be the same as you balance technical expertise, commercial awareness and stakeholder management to deliver outstanding results.

Daily responsibilities will include the following:

  • Managing major equipment and engine rebuild projects from quotation through to completion.
  • Working closely with customers to provide regular updates and deliver an exceptional experience.
  • Coordinating labour, resources, parts and scheduling to maximise efficiency.
  • Supporting the growth of Caterpillar Certified Rebuild and Dealer Rebuild programs.
  • Providing technical guidance to service teams on rebuild procedures.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across rebuild processes.
  • Maintaining accurate reporting and rebuild data health metrics.

ABOUT YOU

You're a qualified Diesel Technician who enjoys combining technical knowledge with planning, coordination and customer engagement.

You thrive on managing multiple priorities, building strong relationships and finding smarter ways to improve outcomes for both customers and the business.

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Technician.
  • Previous experience supervising or coordinating major equipment repairs or rebuild projects.
  • Strong understanding of heavy equipment service operations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

WHY JOIN US?

Working alongside an iconic brand is just one part of what makes a career with us rewarding. At William Adams our people, and their safety, genuinely matter. We foster a supportive and inclusive culture where people feel valued and take pride in the work they do.

We can offer you…

  • A competitive salary package with annual salary and performance reviews
  • Ongoing career and development opportunities
  • Recognition and genuine appreciation through a variety of formal and informal programs
  • Plus, a range of perks including novated leasing, purchased leave and partner discounts across banking, health insurance, and fitness
