Job Summary

Duties

• Assist the lead educator in implementing daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Support children with their activities, encouraging participation and independence
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to care
• Help organize classroom materials, supplies, and educational resources using strong organizational skills
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing tailored assistance as directed
• Document observations and write reports on children's progress to inform ongoing assessments

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; bilingual abilities such as French are considered an asset
• Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development best practices
• Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
• Proficient computer skills including basic operation of educational software and record keeping tools
• Classroom experience demonstrating leadership, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple responsibilities effectively

Pay: $23.00-$26.50 per hour
